Getting your client's information

Customer information can only be disclosed to IPS Resellers when a current valid Consent Letter is available.

Current Legislation covers the disclosure of traffic data (and the billing of charges related to such traffic) and requires that the customer is aware of the type of data which is to be processed and the duration of such processing before giving consent to BT or "a person acting under his authority".

In the Related Documents you will find four customer consent letters. Each letter has a specific circumstance to be used

Consent Letter 2 - Data
For use when the data to be disclosed is for use by a Reseller as specified on the Consent Letter. See Consent Letter 6 when this is required in conjunction with a Call Package Evaluation request

Consent Letter 6 - BT Business Plan and BT Business One Plan
For use by Resellers when submitting a Call Package Evaluation request

Submission
A signed consent letter (on the customer's letter headed paper) can be scanned and electronically uploaded and associated with the relevant request/order on the order entry system. It must be accompanied by a covering note that states a valid Reseller reference and indicates the reason for the disclosure request e.g. the BT product being sold

Please note: If the consent letter accompanies a firm order for a BT Call Package (Business Plan, BT Commitment, Exchange Line Credit Scheme) the only box that needs to be ticked by the customer is "Call Spend Evaluation and Network Build Analysis" and a covering note is not required.
